Consisted of the conversion of a three story commercial office building into a jewelry manufacturing plant. With relatively low floor to floor heights, coordination for this project represented a challenge to the design team. Air conditioning designs included new roof mounted packaged air cooled air conditioning equipment. A class 1 vault was installed in the building with dedicated ductless air conditioning equipment. Industrial exhaust system designs included 20 roof mounted exhaust fans, stainless steel exhaust hoods, dust collectors and exhaust ductwork. An air to air heat exchanger was provided for the casting facilities to reduce energy usage and improve plant efficiency. Plumbing designs included waste water pre-treament systems for sanitary drainage. A new incoming gas service, oxygen making equipment and compressed air systems were included in the designs for the building. Plumbing distribution for this project was extensive, as jewelry manufacturing tends to be a utility intensive process. Electric designs included a new power distribution system with all new equipment, machine hook-ups and lighting. In addition to Designs for the building, Engineering Services were provided for filing of the project with the EPA Department of Air Resources and DEP.
