Design and construction of the North American corporate headquarters of the Bank of Latin America were completed in 2000. Located on the 32nd floor of the World Trade Center's tower number 1, this space occupies over 10,000 square feet of high-end commercial office space. Designed and constructed on a "Fast Track" basis, this project was completed in nine months including the review process by the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey. The project, which was a
gut renovation of the tenant space included revisions to the existing
ductwork serving the space, electric distribution systems and existing
fire protection systems. A new computer room air conditioning system and
data cabling were designed for the project to provide a link between this
office and the clients main office in Latin America. As with all our projects, coordination of the Mechanical and Electrical elements with the Architectural concept played a major role in our effort. This level of coordination during the design effort resulted in reduced construction phase time frame and review time by the governing agencies. In this case coordination of the Port Authority building standards into the design concepts for the project resulted in a streamlined project construction phase. |
